Smarth Bansal of Colorjet India at Media Expo Mumbai 2019.
At the recently concluded Media Expo Mumbai 2019, wide format printing solutions provider Colorjet unveiled some new technologies for the Indian market. The highlight of the company’s stand was the LED UV Vulcan 3200 wide format printer and the upgraded version of its Polo HQ eco-solvent printer.
The 3.2 meter Vulcan 3200 on display at Media Expo Mumbai sports five Konica Minolta printheads for the first time. Previously, the printer was using only Ricoh and Kyocera printheads.
“The new Konica Minolta printheads offer greater speed compared to Ricoh and Kyocera printheads. Also, the drop size is 14 picoliter and the block-outs are generated in six passes. These significantly enhance productivity,” says Smarth Bansal of Colorjet India.
The 6-color Vulcan 3200 can print on substrate such as vinyl, advertising banner, PET, wall paper and fabric, among others.
The other highlight at Colorjet’s stand was the 3.2 meter Polo HQ eco-solvent printer. This version of Polo HQ sports 6 colors and was shown for the first time to industry at Media Expo Mumbai. Last year, the 4-color version of Polo HQ was launched in the Indian market.
Talking about the UV LED printing segment in the Indian market, Bansal says that this segment is witnessing very robust growth due to small base.
“I feel the LED UV segment will continue to expand at a very good rate because a lot of brand owners are now focusing on green printing. Also, printers too are getting aware,” Bansal concludes.
