Epson India, a leading name in printing solutions, showcased its revamped range of SureColor eco-solvent signage printers — the SC-S9130, SC-S8130, and SC-S7130 — at Media Expo Delhi. The spotlight was on the SureColor SC-S9130 11-color signage printer launched in 2025.

The revamped printer series features a major upgrade to a single, larger PrecisionCore MicroTFP 9,600-nozzle printhead, which replaces the dual-head design of previous models to deliver greater detail and precision at higher speeds.

It features the exclusive UltraChrome GS3 high-capacity ink packs that hold up to 1500 ml each, instead of traditional cartridges, which significantly lowers running costs and generates less eWaste.

The inkset, along with CMYK, includes light black, white, red, orange, and an all-new green, which is claimed to expand the potential color gamut by up to 19%. The printer features light cyan and light magenta arrays for smooth gradations.

According to Amit Sehgal, deputy general manager, LFP sales and marketing at Epson India, the demand for the 11-color press drives business growth as regional shows gain momentum. Since its launch, the 11-color printing press has experienced strong market adoption, now accounting for approximately 50% of the division’s total sales.

“The press has garnered significant traction across quality-focused applications, including color-conscious brand materials and premium wallpaper printing,” Sehgal said. “While standard four-color and six-color models continue to serve basic applications such as flex, vinyl, and standard wallpapers, customers seeking higher media quality and superior print output are consistently selecting the 11-color variant.”

All three eco-solvent signage printers on display were booked by existing Delhi clients who upgraded from older models. Alongside signage machinery, the showcase featured resin machines tailored for odor-free applications in sensitive environments such as schools and hospitals, 12-color photo printers, and six-color dye-based CAD printers.

This diverse lineup reflects a shifting event demographic as the event continues to attract a broader mix of jobbers, commercial printers, and photo customers seeking to diversify their operations.

Sehgal noted that while metro-centric events such as Media Expo remain relevant, rising participation costs have prompted a strategic shift toward smaller, regional exhibitions. Recent events in locations such as Guwahati, Lucknow, and Coimbatore, along with an upcoming showcase in Jaipur, delivered strong local customer engagement and direct sales traction.

“By balancing scaled-down participation at major metro expos with increased investment in regional trade shows, our strategy is adapting to capture growing demand across emerging regional markets,” he said.

“Print businesses today are looking for solutions that can combine quality, productivity and versatility while meeting the demands of increasingly diverse applications. At Media Expo 2026, we showcased how Epson’s portfolio of digital printing solutions can address these requirements across signage, commercial, technical, photo and customized printing. Our focus has been on bringing advanced inkjet technology closer to businesses and enabling them to explore new opportunities in print,” said Prabagaran S, senior general manager, Epson India.
