Hyderabad-based Makers of Marketing, a manufacturer and supplier of signage and advertising collateral, recently expanded its production capacity by installing an Epson SureColor S9130 eco-solvent signage printer at its facility. Established in 2014, the company offers vinyl, wallpaper, canvas, and translite printing, among other advertising solutions across India. It has a strong footprint in the southern Indian markets, with another business unit in Bengaluru.

As already covered by Indian Printer & Publisher, the SureColor S9130 was launched in 2025 and first shown running live at Media Expo Delhi. It is the industry’s first 11-color signage printer, part of a revamped range of SureColor eco-solvent signage printers.

The series features a major upgrade to a single, larger PrecisionCore MicroTFP 9,600 nozzle printhead, which replaces the dual-head design of previous models to deliver greater detail and precision at higher speeds.

It features the exclusive UltraChrome GS3 high-capacity ink packs that hold up to 1500 ml each, instead of traditional cartridges, which significantly lowers running costs and generates less eWaste. The inkset, along with CMYK, includes light black, white, red, orange, and an all-new green, which is claimed to expand the potential color gamut by up to 19%. The printer features light cyan and light magenta arrays for smooth gradations.

The minimum ink droplet volume of the printer is 4.3 picoliters (pL), and it can reach up to speeds of 119.4 m2/h. The printer accommodates media widths ranging from 300 to 1,625.6 mm (64″) with print resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. This would enable the output of exceptionally vibrant and lifelike visuals, positioning the printer for high-impact branding and luxury signage.

According to founder Sandy Shravan, Makers of Marketing began its printing business with the installation of an Epson 4-color wide format printer. Its production units also include an HP Latex printer and a Mimaki roll-to-roll UV printer. He dubbed Epson’s printer as more reliable, while saying that a machine gets used for a job depending on which samples the customer agrees upon.

He said he has a wide range of clientele such as airports, hospitals, schools, universities, retail, malls, and the fashion industry. The company provides its products from premium to roadside, ranging from advertisement printing for Apple to a tea stall.

With a Bachelor’s in business marketing, Shravan was always interested in branding and promoting. “I used to participate in co-curricular activities during graduation. Having led cultural festivals and events, I had a keen sense of what and where would be more visible, and how best to communicate with visuals. That gave me the confidence to go ahead with a business that translates visuals into a meaningful message.”

On trends, he explains that businesses now have a more collaborative approach. “Printers are working to solve the problems of a customer instead of just doing a job. If we find that a customer’s requirements do not match our capacity, we happily guide him or her to a suitable printer. This approach promotes fair business and ensures the customer leaves satisfied with the job.”

He says the Indian printing industry will grow severalfold. “India is going to be the next big industry. As a market that not just consumes but also builds and supplies,” he concludes.
