Ahmedabad-based Sun Xerox started as a reprographic centre with tasks such as photocopying or preservation services. The establishment, which kept on expanding its printing services and end products with constant investments in modern machines and equipment, recently installed a new Ricoh Pro C7500 – 5th color station.

The new Ricoh Pro C7500 now running productively at Sun Xerox’s facility, has been supplied by Monotech Systems. “It has just been a matter of a couple of months since we started running this all new Ricoh digital color production digital press in our facility, but it excels at everything,” says Bhaskar Mudaliyar of Sun Xerox.

Founded by Panneerselvam Mudaliyar in 2017, Sun Xerox is into complete commercial printing as well as thermal lamination, plotter cutting, laser color printing, etc., using a fleet of high-end machines now upgraded with the new Ricoh Pro C7500. His son Bhaskar looks after the production.

On choosing the new Ricoh digital press, Bhaskar says, “We have been running other digital presses in our facility for years. However, this true digital press from Monotech outshines when we compare its print quality, media flexibility, and productivity with the others.”

According to Bhaskar, the Ricoh Pro C7500 brings a new vigor to Sun Xerox’s overall printing and production tasks. “In fact, this digital color production press has ideally pushed the boundaries of our print quality, media versatility, special colors, and productivity.”

Packed with upgraded features, Ricoh Pro C7500 is robustly engineered to operate at the speed upgradable up to 95ppm to print on media of 40gsm to 470gsm for producing graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400x4800dpi.

In addition, Ricoh Pro C7500 is paired with EFI Fiery Digital Print Servers to optimize efficiency and print quality. Intuitive Fiery Command WorkStation in the servers facilitates precise job management and color control, enabling quick production of personalized end products with the press’ variable data printing capabilities in exceptional RIP speeds and smooth PDF workflows.

An additional feature in Ricoh Pro C7500 for special colors, the 5th Color Station is filled with seven toners, which eventually makes the digital press an epitome of 11 colors. Bhaskar says they are excited about this expanded color gamut. He adds, “Special color options in the machine are revolutionary to enhance and embellish graphics beyond the usual CMYK. We start utilizing the white color option effectively for adding special effects and textures to graphics.”

Bhaskar states that they have just begun their journey with the Ricoh Pro C7500, looking forward to do more innovatively and productively with the machine. Conclusively, he appreciates the way the team Monotech Systems has helped them know the machine thoroughly and run it efficiently, accompanied by unconditional after-sales support available anytime, at any circumstance.
