
Toppan, a global leader in communication, security, packaging, décor materials, and electronics singolutions, is holding a décor materials exhibition in collaboration with Toppan Group companies Interprint, Toppan Europe, and Toppan Interamerica. The ‘&CO’ event will be held from 9 – 12 May at Design Post Cologne in Cologne, Germany.
In its décor materials business, Toppan focuses on the global market as it designs and develops products that meet the quality requirements and environmental needs of each region. Based on the ‘&CO’ concept of working together to ‘collaborate,’ ‘connect,’ and ‘co-create,’ the exhibition is presenting the latest printed décor materials for the furniture and interior industries. It is also showcase ideas for eco-friendly products to help shape a sustainable society and digital technologies opening the way to the future.
What’s on show
Toppan is presenting the latest décor material designs using state-of-the-art printing technologies, proposals for a sustainable society, next-generation experiences employing digital technologies, and new possibilities for décor materials for the global market.
Eco-friendly products
Toppan will showcase multiple new products at the event. These include décor films that can protect the surfaces of furniture and fittings while also delivering attractive design, products that use recycled resin to promote a circular economy without sacrificing functionality, and biomass products that help drive a low-carbon economy by using sugar cane and other plant-derived materials.
Digital technologies
‘&CO’ will also run various demonstrations, including décor films that enable a wood-grain panel to turn into an information display device, a digital simulation tool for accurately reproducing décor films design on a tablet device, and a digital library of virtual spaces and virtual materials giving a glimpse of the metaverse society of the future.
Toppan entered the décor printing business in 1956 and has developed and marketed a wide array of decorative materials for the surfaces of furniture, fittings, floors, and more.
