Participating for the first time in PrintPack India, UKbased Arden Software will showcase workflow and design tools during the five-day trade show. In just a year, the company has successfully installed15 licenses in India. Speaking about the organization, Manish Bhaskar, director and business head for Asia of Arden Asia Pacific Software says, “Arden software is a 29-year-old company, and recently we set up a base in Delhi. The company develops integrated solutions that help the converter to have control over manufacturing process right from the design to final dispatch. Arden Software is a global supplier of solutions, and besides India, we have over 11,000 installations across the US- and UK-based convertors.”

Prior to having their own setup in Delhi, Arden supplied products through various channel partners headquartered in India such as Kodak, LaserComb and Zund. Their own setup give them an immediate understanding of the needs and demands of Indian convertors.

Arden Software plans to highlight Impact CAD, their primary product, used in designing and visualization of paper-based cartons, corrugated boxes and display solutions. Impact’s automatic layout feature is capable of simultaneously calculating multiple interlocking patterns to ensure maximum on-press efficiency and reduce waste. Additionally, it keeps track of material type and flute and grain direction to enable their correct orientation in packaging design and execution. Arden’s advanced 3D modelling feature helps to experiment and imagine the various structural possibilities. Apart from designers, Impact enjoys high demand from die-makers too, due to its creative mix of automation and manual control.

In addition, Arden plans to soon introduce WEBcnx and cloud-based Impact Enterprise tools. Impact Enterprise helps to connect the multiple facilities to a centralized database and a workflow automation tool while WEBcnx enables communication among all stakeholders in the packaging supply chain, allowing real-time collaboration, better control and flexibility of packaging projects.

The company is planning to have an office in Mumbai to cater to the Asia Pacific region. “We work with many customers across the world and the Asia-Pacific region is a rapidly evolving high-growth market. Having around 500 installations in Asia, the growing need of the market has prompted us to be positioned closer to our customers and partners in Asia. Thus, a new set up in Mumbai will help to meet the needs of clients based in Africa right up to the Australian continent,” says Bhaskar.

In the past six years, Arden has opened four overseas offices, creating new jobs and opportunities while positioning itself as a global supplier in the packaging sector. Arden has 50 installations in India and over 500 installations across Asia.“Our products exclusively focus on delivering solutions that connect the pre- and post-production activities, so that businesses become more innovative, productive and profitable,” concludes Bhaskar.
