Situated in Chilakaluripet in Palnad district of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayalakshmi Gayatri Laser Color Lab & Xerox is a commercial printing shop, providing commercial graphic prints and an array of finished products printed and produced using a family of advanced Canon machines comprising digital production presses and plotters. The printer recently added two Canon imageFORCE 8195 digital monochrome production presses, bought from Canon India.
T Vasantharao, proprietor of Vijayalakshmi Gayatri Laser Color Lab & Xerox, said they have been a long-standing user of Canon machines. “We always have a family of Canon machines of different technologies and formats in our production facility. The family is constantly expanded with latest models. The two new imageFORCE 8195 presses have been chosen for enhancing quality and productivity of monochrome prints to a new level. With the addition of the two new production presses for black & white printing, we have a total of five Canon machines at our facility.”
The five Canon machines running productively at Vijayalakshmi Gayatri Laser Color Lab & Xerox are—two units of imageFORCE 8195; an imagePROGRAF TX-5400 large-format inkjet plotter; an imagePRESS C710 Color digital production press; and an imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 8795i high-performance digital production press for monochrome prints.
“With these Canon machines, we are empowered to print and produce any graphic print or printed product that could be anything right from business card up to poster,” tells Vasantharao.
Established in the year 2000, Vijayalakshmi Gayatri Laser Color Lab & Xerox provides bulk graphic prints, backed by a team of skilled staff along with the family of advanced Canon machines.
Vasantharao says the speed, media flexibility, and print quality of iF 8195 are commendable. Capable of running at the speed up to 95ppm (pages per minute), the iF 8195 is compatible on media up to 300 gsm for delivering print outputs in resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi with R VCSEL laser technology.
It supports long-format banners. When it comes to scanning capability, the iF 8195 can scan documents in high-speed, single-pass with abnormal transport/double-feed detection. After all, for non-stop high volume print production it boasts large capacity paper options, up to 9,360 sheets.
“We have owned nearly 300 Canon machines since our establishment around two-and-a-half decades ago. Most of them had been pre-owned models. However, this family of five Canon machines in our facility are brand new models, which we bought directly from Canon India,” Vasantharao said, adding that they look forward to investing in more new Canon presses with advanced features and modern technologies. Vasantharao’s younger brothers, Ramakrishna and Nagaraju, help him in the business.
