Radhakrishna, proprietor of RG Pack, says, “Our tryst with Canon India began around seven years ago when we first bought a digital press from them. This new iPR V700, installed in February this year, is a production-grade machine rich with advanced features and automation tools not found readily in any other digital presses in its class.” He said the digital press can operate at high speed, handling wide varieties of heavy, textured, and specialty media, to produce innovative graphic prints in stunning resolution.”
Compact in size with a small footprint, the iPR V700 can produce oversized print outputs in the industry’s leading resolution. When it comes to considering its media flexibility, it compatibly handles covers, envelops, synthetics, coated substrates, luxury textured papers, and long sheets up to 1300 mm.
“This new Canon digital press’ versatility with varieties of lightweight as well as heavyweight media has opened up a new opportunity for us to work with newer applications in totally fresh textures and innovation to pull attention of our customers, which consist of some new ones,” emphasizes Radhakrishna.
He adds, “Papers of different grammage, starting from 52 gsm up to 350 gsm, are easily and efficiently handled by iPR V700 for producing graphic prints in resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi. After all, its speed is laudable. It operates at the maximum speed of 70 A4-size ppm (pages per minute).”
Other added features of the compact Canon digital color production press include a Fiery Server P400 controller, which is designed to provide powerful processing of complex print jobs, and POD (print on demand) Deck for automated vacuum paper feeding.
