ATE stall at ITME

ATE, a provider of textile engineering solutions for textile printing and processing, showcased Axisconserve 4.0, an integrated hardware and software IoT (internet of things) solution at the ITME 2022 show in Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR.

Axisconserve 4.0 is an industry cloud-based, IoT-enabled analytics solution for industrial utilities. It is useful in enhancing performance, cost reduction, increasing asset life, and achieving sustainability.

Anuj Bhagwati, managing director of ATE, said, “An ink circulating pump delivers ink from the tank to the tray (pan) through a filter. As the print run progresses, the temperature of the ink rises and then stabilizes at a high temperature over time. The high ink temperature results in high solvent evaporation, which in turn results in higher top-up solvent consumption.”

Elaborating on the necessity of the IoT-enabled application, Bhagwati said, “A system was needed to reduce ink temperature to minimize fugitive solvent losses; thereby reducing total solvent consumption. This had to be done without hindering the process. Critical design parameters that were considered included ambient conditions, reasons for ink temperature rise, the flow rate of the ink, and permissible pressure drop of the application.”
