Kolkata-based commercial printer Sarala Art Press has opted for a Ricoh Pro C5300S digital production press for catering for their short-run jobs. The press has been installed by Monotech Systems.

Ardhendu Sekhar Rao, owner, Sarala Art Press, says, “We were using a Konica Minolta office printer for all the short-run jobs. Digital is a growing segment and since demand has increased it is time to opt for upgrading the digital press that can deliver high production. Ricoh is a heavy-duty and robust digital press. We are already using a signage machine from Monotech Systems and their services and our relations with them add more to the decision of opting for the Ricoh.”

“By adding Ricoh, we can deliver quality jobs that have brought customer delight. Also, the media flexibility has enabled us to print, develop and deliver a variety of applications that are making our customers very happy. We are very satisfied with the quality and performance, and it has already helped our digital business growth by 50%,” he added.

Built as a right-sized solution, the Ricoh Pro C5300s digital production press is said to offer a fusion of vibrant color, agile media handling, and a wide range of finishing options. With superior reliability, accurate registration, and intuitive controls, it is claimed to be ideal for marketing agencies, in-plants, commercial printers, and franchise/pay-for-print environments looking for a total package — in a compact footprint.
