The print shop has elevated its digital printing capacity to produce graphics in richer colors and sharper textures using a newly installed Canon imagePRESS V770—an advanced digital color production press with additional modern features from Canon India.

A handful of additional features and capabilities make iPR V770 different from others. An air-assist tray, a first-of-its-kind mechanism in the industry, is added to the press for continuous feeding of coated media with few interruptions. This press boasts an extra capability to print more vivid reds and richer blues which many people preferably demand in the current Indian market. Its newly developed toner density management is for producing small texts in exceptional quality.
“The new PRISMAsyncLite controller in iPR V770 helps operators command the entire print workflow effortlessly. Even the operator-friendly 15.6-inch touch panel with intuitive on-screen colour correction tools of the press make print job management easier than expected,” said Nair, adding digital printing at Sreya Signs & Digital Printers is now totally redefined by the new Canon press with the new features and capabilities to handle media flexibly and expansively for creating graphic prints in richer colors.
Wide varieties of media ranging from 52 gsm to 350 gsm are flexibly and seamlessly handled by iPR V770. This new Canon press operates at different speeds to handle media of diverse grammages. It operates at the speeds of 81 ppm and 77 ppm (pages per min) for handling media of 52 gsm to 25 6 gsm from the ‘standard’ tray and the newly added ‘air-assist’ tray respectively. The press also handles coated media between 70 gsm and 350 gsm with ease and many other unconventional media like labels, envelopes, textured and synthetic materials.
