Sree Sastha Computers is a one-stop corner for computers, accessories, and services in Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram. The computer corner has ventured into digital printing with the installation of a new Canon imagePRESS V770 digital color production press, a newly launched model and successor of the iPR 700.

Canon India launched the iPR V770 in the Indian market in May this year, unfolding a new chapter of richer colors, advanced media handling, and more in digital printing. Engineered for the Indian market, the new Canon digital press produces vibrant prints in vivid reds and richer blues.

“With this highly advanced iPR V770 from Canon India, we hit the road to digital printing in an impressive way. This press is a benchmark of quality printing, print innovation with vibrancy in colors and textures,” . Kathiresh A, proprietor of Sree Sastha Computers, said.

“When we decided to buy an advanced digital color production press for our venture into commercial printing, we conducted a sort of survey in the market to find out the models available and compared all of them to each other for their features and capabilities. The iPR V770 was our ultimate choice as it had a noticeable superiority when compared to the machine’s overall competencies to everything else around.”

A compact and advanced digital color production press, the iPR V770 boasts a handful of the latest features, among which is an integrated air-assist tray for continuous feeding of coated media with less interruptions. The press is capable of printing in more vivid reds and richer blues, which are increasingly in demand among Indian customers. The press’ newly developed toner’s density management is perfect for printing small texts in exceptional quality.

The iPR V770 can handle a broad range of media flexibility from 52gsm to 350gsm. It operates at varied speeds to handle diverse media. It can operate at 81ppm and 77ppm (pages per min) to handle media of 52gsm to 256gsm from the standard tray and the newly added air-assist tray. Coated media between 70gsm and 350gsm are printed vibrantly on iPR V770 with ease, while other varieties of unconventional media compatible with this new Canon press consist of labels, envelopes, textured and synthetic materials.

A team of 16 staff members at Sree Sastha Computers take care of the shop’s overall activities, including the new digital printing venture for production of finished products like business cards, invitation cards of all kinds, catalogs, brochures, fliers, inserts, etc.

“The output of the iPR V770 with additional features stands out and impresses our customers. This is our first machine from Canon India. We think of adding more such highly-advanced modern machines in the future,” Kathiresh said.
