Located in the coastal city of Alappuzha in Kerala, ARDRA Designs is a one-stop print shop where premium graphic prints and related finished products are printed and produced using a fleet of advanced and modern machines. To elevate quality and sharpness, the printer installed a new Canon imagePRESS V900 digital color production press.

Rahul Raju, proprietor, ARDRA Designs, said the new digital production press has unique features and capabilities while handling substrates of diverse grammage and textures. “This newly arrived Canon digital production press is ahead of other presses in its class on many fronts. Since we started running it at our facility around a couple of months ago, we have perked up prints into a whole new elevation of quality, innovation, and textures,” he added.

He continued, “Before the arrival of the iPR V900 in our facility, we used to run two digital colour production presses. Both the presses are from two globally reputed brands. However, when it comes to creating sharp prints on a broad array of higher grammage media, iPR V900 beats both of them. That’s the key reason why we have chosen the iPR V900 and rolled up our sleeves to exploit the new Canon digital colour production press’ capabilities.”

A compact press, capable of handling broad array substrates for diverse print applications and end-products, the iPR V900 is powerful and productive. It operates at the unprecedented speeds up to 90 A4 pages per minute (ppm) for both colour and monochrome print outputs. It supports all media types comprising textured stocks, thin coated papers, and envelopes. It handles media weights up to 350 gsm with a maximum paper size of 330 x 1300 mm. Its capability to print graphics in 2400 x 2400 dpi is rated the industry’s highest resolution catered by a digital press.

According to Raju, iPR V900 has totally redefined the way they print on high grammage stocks. “It has been a bit of a challenge for us to print media of 350 gsm before the installation of this advanced Canon digital press a few months back. Now, we are quite confident to meet the need of whichever quality and texture our customers from diverse businesses and different walks-of-life have been looking for. This is the prowess of iPR V900 which has set a new level of quality in printing and production of diverse finished products at our facility today.”

Some of the finished products which are impressively printed and produced at ARDRA Designs include cards of all types, letterheads, brochures, fliers, leaflets, calendars, booklets, menus, bill books, certificates, posters, etc. “We are satisfied with the way iPR V900 flexibly handles diverse media in higher grammages. In addition to the machine, it’s really grateful to be partnered with Canon India whose post-sales support is truly unmatched,” informed Raju.

He conclusively said, “iPR V900 is the first machine from Canon India at our production facility. We look forward to adopting more such production presses in the future, soon.”
