Siegwerk India, a global name in printing inks and coatings for packaging applications, has inaugurated new school buildings for two government upper primary schools, UPS Huseengpur and UPS Banbeerpur, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to education in rural communities. Together, the new campuses will benefit nearly 300 students, providing safe, modern, and inclusive learning environments designed to support better educational outcomes.

The initiative builds on over a decade of sustained engagement with both schools. Siegwerk India first adopted UPS Huseengpur in 2009-10, well before corporate social responsibility became a statutory requirement in India, and UPS Banbeerpur in 2011-12.

Since then, the company has consistently supported both schools through annual repair, maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades. As the ageing buildings became structurally unsafe and were no longer suitable for repair, Siegwerk India undertook the construction of entirely new school buildings to ensure uninterrupted access to quality education.

Located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the company’s facility in Bhiwadi, UPS Huseengpur serves around 120 students from Classes 1 to 8. The school has a unique history, having originally operated from an old village building donated by families who had migrated from Pakistan after Independence. In 2024, the Rajasthan Education Department declared the structure dilapidated, making a new campus essential.

Similarly, UPS Banbeerpur, located around 2.4 kilometres from the plant, caters to nearly 170 students from Classes 1 to 8 in a densely populated agrarian community. Having supported the school’s upkeep for over a decade, Siegwerk India stepped in to construct a new building after the previous structure was deemed beyond repair.

Commenting on the initiative, Ashish Pradhan, president – Asia, Siegwerk, said, “Education has always been at the heart of Siegwerk India’s community engagement. What began over a decade ago as repair and maintenance support for these two schools has now evolved into permanent infrastructure that will serve students for years to come. This initiative represents our continued commitment to the communities that have been part of our journey since the very beginning.”

The new school buildings feature improved classrooms and infrastructure that will provide students and teachers with a safer, more conducive environment for learning. The project reflects Siegwerk India’s broader focus on strengthening educational infrastructure, promoting digital learning, and supporting inclusive development in the communities surrounding its operations.

Over the years, Siegwerk India has invested significantly in education through initiatives ranging from school infrastructure development and digital classrooms to clean energy solutions and learning resources. The company has been recognized with the Bhamashah Award for its sustained contribution to strengthening government schools in Rajasthan, underscoring its long-term commitment to advancing education and community well-being.
