Landa Digital Printing’s new ink plant in North America

To begin operations in second half of 2024

Landa Digital Printing plans expansion with new ink plant in North America

Landa Digital Printing, a manufacturer of Nanographic Printing presses, will open an ink plant to supply its growing North American customer base. The new plant is expected to begin operations in H2, 2024.

To be located in the Midwestern US, the new plant will manufacture the company’s water-based Landa NanoInk, which is required for the transformative Nanographic Printing process. The plant will join existing Landa ink plants across the globe, thereby increasing worldwide NanoInk manufacturing capacity as well as ensuring supply to North American customers. Additional major benefits will include shorter lead times and reduced environmental impacts caused by shipping materials.

“Landa places strategic importance in our North American customer base,” says Gil Oron, Landa’s CEO. “We are growing in the region rapidly and the new plant will help match the demand we are seeing. The plant will supply our customers with NanoInk, the key to producing Landa’s stunning images with digital flexibility and the quickest turnaround times.”

The US based ink plant is due to become operational by H2 2024, and will mark a significant expansion in the company’s capabilities. Fully operated by Landa, it is strategically positioned to produce for the entire North American market, encompassing the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

This development is not just a reflection of Landa’s growth but also a strong statement of its commitment to its customers and to the North American market. The establishment of the ink plant underlines Landa’s dedication to long-term relationships with its clients and enhancing its service offerings across North America. Landa sees this as a strategic step in supporting the company’s growth trajectory and in fortifying its position as a leader in the digital printing.

Landa Digital Printing was founded by Benny Landa with the purpose of liberating printers from the barriers inherent to traditional digital and conventional analog printing. Thanks to Landa’s unique Nanography technology, Landa Nanographic Printing Presses produce stunning images of extensive color range, designed to print at any run length, on coated or uncoated media, and in fast turnaround times.

In 2024, we are looking at full recovery and growth-led investment in Indian printing

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. It created the category of privately owned B2B print magazines in the country. And by its diversification in packaging, (Packaging South Asia), food processing and packaging (IndiFoodBev) and health and medical supply chain and packaging (HealthTekPak), and its community activities in training, research, and conferences (Ipp Services, Training and Research) the organization continues to create platforms that demonstrate the need for quality information, data, technology insights and events.

India is a large and tough terrain and while its book publishing and commercial printing industry have recovered and are increasingly embracing digital print, the Indian newspaper industry continues to recover its credibility and circulation. The signage industry is also recovering and new technologies and audiences such as digital 3D additive printing, digital textiles, and industrial printing are coming onto our pages. Diversification is a fact of life for our readers and like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in nominal and real terms – in a region poised for the highest change in year to year expenditure in printing equipment and consumables. Our 2024 media kit is ready, and it is the right time to take stock – to emphasize your visibility and relevance to your customers and turn potential markets into conversations.
