Noida-based Adway Print Concept is an established manufacturer and supplier of monocartons, labels, catch covers inserts, rigid boxes, litho laminated cartons, and luxury boxes. It relocated its plant from Delhi in June 2020 to Noida. The company’s director Anuj Kumar Jain, says, “Our existing Delhi facility, which was rented, demanded more space. There is now enough land in Noida which we purchased in January 2020, with production beginning there in June the same year.” Thus far, the new plant has a built-up area of 40,000 square feet.

Adway Print Concept has all the print and decoration, converting, and special finishing equipment needed to manufacture monocartons and luxury hard box cartons. In the press room, it runs a Komori 4-color Lithrone G40 offset press and a Heidelberg double-color plus coater press. In the converting section, it has recently bolstered and automated its die-cutting capacity with the installation of the MK EasyMatrix 106CS die-cutter. It also has a Polar diecutter and six manual die-cutting machines.

Adway’s move to Noida has helped extend its carton converting capacity while the company remains engaged in commercial printing. Separate floors are dedicated to commercial printing and for the finishing, coating, lamination lines for the converting of monocartons, rigid boxes, and luxury boxes for the converting lines. The company can provide cartons with all types of substrates including met pet and coating and decoration with aqueous and UV, spot UV and hybrid UV varnish, hot foil stamping, and braille embossing. It uses ink from Toyo and Siegwerk.

Jain spoke about his customer segments for cartons, “The company is catering to the cosmetics, automotive, electronics, food and beverages, and especially the pharma industries.” The company moved from Delhi to the new premises in Noida during the Covid-19 pandemic caused some inevitable production delays, but currently, normalcy has resumed and the throughput is smoother with the new automatic diecutter in place.

Digital metallic decoration & label press plans

Pradeep Kumar Jain, one of the company’s directors says, “We can now carry out our expansion plans that had stalled due to space constraints. Planned is the addition of finishing and printing machines and diversification to other segments such as blister packaging, stickers, and rigid boxes.”

“We are planning to introduce a new printing line that is only used in digital printing. Instead of using met-pet printing, we will now use silver metallic printing, which is also a normal printing, but it is a better embellishment of the product and it is environmentally friendly and recyclable because the substrate is not laminated with metallic polyester film. This will be the future for digital printing, but the machine is fairly expensive,” said Jain.

“We also plan to introduce sticker label machines for cosmetic bottles and window patching machines for liner cartons. We are also planning to install the Gallus Labelmaster flexo label press for enhancing the business’ growth and the quality of products provided by Adway,” the Jain brothers added.
