Gartex Texprocess India 2021 hybrid edition opens today

Gartex Texprocess India was inaugurated by Vijoy Kumar Singh, IAS, additional secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, alongside other key industry figures.

With an initiative to gather the entire garment and textile machinery industry after the long halt of the pandemic, the sixth edition of Gartex Texprocess India has officially kicked off today. The three-day hybrid fair brings together over 300 brands with more than 800 products on display and seven special segments. Among the key highlights is a dedicated trend area highlighting denim trends curated using factory waste to unveil “The Denim Pocket Story” – a collection of classic denim pockets and its transformation of the years.

India’s leading exhibition catering to the garment and textile manufacturing value chain, Gartex Texprocess India has been opened for business today for the very first time after the lockdown. According to the show organisers, Messe Frankfurt India and MEX Exhibitions, the new edition of Gartex Texprocess India aims to provide industry the exposure and a professional meeting point that it needs in the post-pandemic world.

Speaking of the exhibits, the trade fair showcases more than 800 products, inclusive of various product launches and live demonstrations. The show comprises of seven special product zones and focused segments that allows buyers to discover new textile industry trends under – Digitex, India Laundry, Fabrics & Trims, Garmenting & Apparel Machinery, and Embroidery Solutions co-located with the Denim Show and Screen Print India. 

One of the key highlights at the fair is the Denim Zone where denim industry’s leading brands including Creora, Arvind, Raymond UCO Denim, Reliance Industries, Ginni International, Jindal Worldwide are showcasing the latest denim collections, sustainability concepts and advancements in the denim industry. The denim show also includes a dedicated trend area for experiencing new denim products curated by the industry including an artistic showcase of “The Denim Pocket Story which recreates classic denim pockets and its transformation over the years. The trend area has been put together by Padma Raj Keshri, an Indigo enthusiast who works with waste fabric mainly involved in the post-production of waste denim pieces at the factory level. This Sustainable project was up-cycled and each pocket is handcrafted while the fabric and collections are specially curated from the Indian denim mills. 

Similarly, for Gartex Texprocess India, one can witness leading brands on the show floor including – AURA, Baba Machines, ColorJet India, Ramsons Garment Finishing Equipments, Jaysynth Dyestuff (India), and Morgan Tecnica, among others. 

Also held in co-location with Gartex Texprocess India is India’s leading b2b trade fair for the screen, textile, sublimation, and digital printing technologies, Screen Print India. This segment of the fair showcases top-notch innovations and developments in screen and textile printing from brands such as Green Printing Solutions, J N Arora & Co, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Skyscreen International, and Zydex Industries, among others. 

Connecting its virtual audience, the trade fair hosting a Digital Symposium throughout the three days where experts from the industry will share insights on trending topics spanning from ‘Finding a Solution to Sustainable Garment Manufacturing’, to ‘Carbon Neutrality in Denim Industry’ to ‘Natural products for textile colouration’ and many more. The sessions allow industry players to gain a well-informed perspective and stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends.
