Pudumjee Paper’s 2019-2020 profit increases by 62.5%

Pune-based Pudumjee Paper Products Limited (PPPL) has reported a profit after tax of INR 27.21 crore in the 2019-2020 financial year, up by 62.5% year on year.

Sales rose 2.54% to INR 604.48 crore in the year as against INR 589.52 crore during the previous year ended March 2019. During the year, the company produced 68,548 MT of paper, an 8% increase over 63,607 MT produced during the same period in the previous year. 

The company’s EBIDTA for the period increased by 49% to INR 60.92 crore due to improved operating efficiency and lower cost.

PPPL resumed production at its Pune plant on 12 May and is currently operating at about 50% of capacity and believes that the capacity utilization may gradually improve as the economy returns to normalcy, post lockdown.
