Epson India displayed a number of solutions at the recently concluded CEIF 2018 in Mumbai. The highlights of the show for Epson were the SureColor SC-P10070/P20070 series and SureColor SC-S80670 large format printers. These two solutions are meant for both the photo and signage segments.
The Epson SureColor P-10070 is a 44-inch large format printer designed for medium-high volume graphic, fine art and poster printing. The Epson SC P10070 supports a wide range of roll and sheet-based media and features an all new PrecisionCore MicroTFP print head with Variable Sized Droplet Technology for output with superior resolution, gradations and colour density. The printer uses Epson UltraChrome Pro all-pigment aqueous inks and is also available in a 64-inch size, which is known as the Epson SC-P20070.
The S80670 is Epson’s next generation eco-solvent 10-color printer for a wide variety of indoor and commercial applications. The 64-inch width printer boasts a speed of up to 95.1 square metres an hour. It uses Epson’s UltraChrome GS3 ink and offers white or metallic silver colours as options.
“At CEIF 2018 we got visitors mainly from the photo segment and with the market sentiment improving we got good enquiries,” said Milind Chavan, manager of prographic products at Epson India. He expects 2018 to be a very good year in terms equipment sales driven by recovery in economy. “Although 2017 was not such a bad year for us but we expect 2018 to be a much better year,” he concluded.
