Mumbai-based Trigon Digital Solutions has recently installed HP’s Indigo WS6000 digital press. With this addition, Trigon—a leading name in brand and packaging solutions—will be equipped with new capabilities to explore segments such as shrink sleeves and flexible packaging. The installation will also allow Trigon to cater to small quantity label requirements of its clients.

The label segment in India has been estimated to be growing at 15%. The category has witnessed label printing companies use increasingly advanced equipment to enhance their printing, converting and decorating capabilities. HP Indigo WS6000, with its advanced features, will empower Trigon to overcome these changing market dynamics, and hone its digital offerings in the sector.

Speaking on the occasion, A. Appadurai, country manager – Indigo and Pagewide Web Press, Graphics Solutions Business, HP Inc. India said, “We are delighted to be a part of Trigon’s growth journey and are confident that HP Indigo WS6000 will help them realize their strategic goals. With the help of HP Indigo WS6000, Trigon will be able to cater to the opportunity of shrink sleeve packaging market segment which will enhance Trigon Digital Solution’s capacity to cater to its customers’ needs.”

According to Anil N, co-founder and managing director at Trigon Digital Solutions, “Trigon decided to acquire HP Indigo WS 6000 keeping in view the future trend. Digital and short run for label has quickly become the need of the hour. It indeed is a nice feeling to cater to customer’s conscious and unconscious need for quality, in shortest turnaround time.”

The HP Indigo WS6000 Digital Press offers the most productive, high-speed digital solution for medium run label and packaging printing, with print quality surpassing that of conventional printing. The digital press enables label and packaging printers to transfer jobs from conventional printing to digital— at lower costs—while achieving superior quality, productivity and profitability. Equipped with HP’s Mosaic application, variable design technology software provided with HP SmartStream Designer, Trigon Digital Solution will be able to create exquisite products for a memorable customer experience by generating numerous unique graphics for variable data jobs.

Trigon Digital Solutions caters to FMCG companies and merchandising professionals, by providing them with prepress services for design, correction and proofs. The company has also successfully executed large variable data projects, helping brand owners to fulfill their objective of reaching their target audience more efficiently. Last year, Trigon set up its first international arm in Dubai to better serve its clients in the Middle Eastern, African and European markets.

In 2024, we are looking at full recovery and growth-led investment in Indian printing

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. It created the category of privately owned B2B print magazines in the country. And by its diversification in packaging, (Packaging South Asia), food processing and packaging (IndiFoodBev) and health and medical supply chain and packaging (HealthTekPak), and its community activities in training, research, and conferences (Ipp Services, Training and Research) the organization continues to create platforms that demonstrate the need for quality information, data, technology insights and events.

India is a large and tough terrain and while its book publishing and commercial printing industry have recovered and are increasingly embracing digital print, the Indian newspaper industry continues to recover its credibility and circulation. The signage industry is also recovering and new technologies and audiences such as digital 3D additive printing, digital textiles, and industrial printing are coming onto our pages. Diversification is a fact of life for our readers and like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in nominal and real terms – in a region poised for the highest change in year to year expenditure in printing equipment and consumables. Our 2024 media kit is ready, and it is the right time to take stock – to emphasize your visibility and relevance to your customers and turn potential markets into conversations.
