At PrintPack India 2017, Fujifilm India showcased its high-quality printing and prepress solutions including plates, equipment and chemistries. In addition, the company showcased its wide format solutions—Fujifilm Acuity EY and Acuity LED 1600— as well as B2 size digital inkjet press solutions and DX 1160 UV platesetter.

“At PrintPack, we displayed products for the commercial printing segment as well as the packaging front,” said SM Ramprasad of Fujifilm. “As far as commercial printing is concerned, we put on show our thermal and UV CtPs that we have been focusing on for the last one year and we definitely received tremendous response for the same.”

For commercial printers, the company also showcased unique applications of its wide-format UV printers. “Fujifilm’s UV wide-format printers can do a lot of unique short run innovative jobs, which can add value to print applications and deliverables for their customers be it in the POS front or in the collateral side,” said Ramprasad.

We also showcased various samples printed on our B2 size digital press, which managed to gain a lot of traction during the exhibition. Post drupa, the interest level of customers has been considerable and at PrintPack, we tried to further finetune the prospects into a very serious customer base of which at least 8 to 10 customers are seriously pursuing us for the digital inkjet press. That was the sole reason why we showcased samples printed on the press as well as different applications that they would have never thought of,” he shared.

For the packaging segment, Fujifilm displayed its water washable flexo plates as well as processing units. “These plates will redefine the way the printing process is happening in the country. Unlike majority of the flexo plates available in the market, water washable plates are solvent free and thus are highly recommended for food and hygiene products,” concluded Ramprasad.
