Mumbai-based Technova Imaging Systems has launched a new range of digital print substrate solutions for the photo album industry – Novajet Pearl, Novajet Dilda and Novajet Sonal 125 DS (double side printable). All these are PET film-based with a distinct metallic finish. “These new finishes enhance the quality of the image and help the printer in adding value leading to better profits,” said Vimal Parmar, DGM marketing, Digital Print Media. These substrates which were displayed at Media Expo 2016 offer high tear-resistance, durability, water resistance and longer shelf-life. Moreover, these substrates are opaque and offer printability on both sides. According to Parmar, compared to other media available for photobook applications, which are fibrous, these new solutions by Technova are much smoother.

Technova had also showcased a variety of digital signage media at the expo held in Mumbai in January. One of their latest offerings on display was the eco-solvent backlit media which the company says is the first such solution developed by an Indian firm. Moreover, on display was the full range of canvas media, indigenously made woven fabrics for all inkjet technologies.

The company also showed the full range of banner media, poster media, speciality media and wall décor media. “Our focus is on green technology for the digital signage industry,” said Chetan Dave, assistant manager, marketing and communication, Digital Print Media who was at the company stand.
