
The Delhi-headquartered HT Media group, which publishes the English daily Hindustan Times, Hindi Hindustan, and business daily Mint and operates a host of digital properties and radio stations, has announced its consolidated Q4 results for the quarter ending 31 March as well as the fiscal year of 2025-26.
HT Media reported a total revenue of Rs 558 crore in Q4 FY26, as compared to Rs 568 crore in Q4 of the previous fiscal, registering a 2% fall. Total EBITDA was Rs 131 crore in Q4FY26, up 5% from Rs 124 crore in Q4FY25.
Operating revenue was Rs 511 crore in Q4FY26, a marginal rise of 3% from Rs 494 crore in Q4FY25. Income from other sources stood at Rs 47 crore this quarter, down 37% from Rs 74 crore in the same quarter, last fiscal.
Raw material expense was recorded at Rs 111 crore in Q4FY26 in comparison to Rs 102 crore in Q4FY25. Employee cost in this quarter was Rs 102, same as Q4FY25. Profit after tax was in Q4FY26 Rs 96 crore, up from Rs 83 crore in Q4FY25.
In the whole of FY26, HT Media’s operating revenue was Rs 1,803 crore, a 3% rise from Rs 1,746 crore in FY25. Income from other sources stood at Rs 168 crore this fiscal, down 23% from Rs 218 crore in FY25. PAT in FY26 was Rs 153 crore against Rs 106 crore in FY26, a 44 % rise Y-o-Y. Total revenue in FY25 and FY 26 was Rs 1,964 crore and Rs 1,971 crore, respectively.
Hindustan Media Ventures’ (Hindi) operating revenue was Rs 216 crore in Q4FY26, up 19% from Rs 182 crore in Q4FY25. HMVL’s total revenue was Rs 229 crore in Q4FY26, down 2% from Rs 234 crore in Q4FY25. PAT stood at Rs 63 crore in Q4FY26, down from Rs 72 crore in Q4FY25. Total revenue in FY25 and FY 26 was Rs 811 crore and Rs 811 crore, respectively.
The combined print division (English and Hindi) recorded advertisement revenue of Rs 313 crore in Q4FY26, against Rs 284 crore in Q4FY25. Circulation revenue was Rs 51 crore in Q4 FY26, against Rs 49 crore in Q4FY25. Operating revenue of print was Rs 427 crore this quarter, against Rs 373 crore in Q4FY25. In FY 26, total ad revenue Rs 1,148 crore, up from Rs 1,065 crore in FY25. Total circulation of the combined print division stood at Rs 208 crore and Rs 211 crore in FY26 and FY25, respectively.
The English print division recorded Rs 172 crore in advertisement revenue in Q4FY26, compared to Rs 158 crore in Q4FY25. English circulation revenue was Rs 13 crore in Q4FY26, against Rs 12 crore in Q4FY25. “Advertising demonstrated strong growth in the year on the back of government and commercial revenue while circulation revenue also improved significantly,” the company stated. English print recorded advertisement revenue of Rs 644 crore in the whole of FY26, up 8% from Rs 599 crore in FY25. Circulation revenue was down 5% to Rs 53 crore from Rs 56 crore in the fiscal.
Print Hindi recorded Rs 142 crore revenue in Q4FY26 against Rs 127 crore in Q4FY25. Hindi’s circulation revenue was Rs 38 crore this quarter against Rs 37 crore in Q4FY25. In FY26, Hindi print had an ad revenue of Rs 504 crore, up from Rs 466 crore in FY25. Circulation revenue, on the other hand, stood at Rs 155 crore in both FY26 and FY25.“Advertising saw an upswing, as government revenue improved and key commercial segments performed well for the year ,” it said.
Digital revenue in Q4FY26 and Q4FY25 remained the same at Rs 39 crore. FY26’s digital earnings were Rs 155 crore, up from Rs 152 crore in FY25.
“The fourth quarter of 2025-26 and the full year marked a period of decisive transformation for your Company, one characterized by meaningful improvement in profitability, even as consolidated revenue remained broadly stable on an annual basis. Our Print business performed well, both for the quarter and the full year,” Shobhana Bhartia, chairperson and editorial director, HT Media & Hindustan Media Ventures, said in a statement.
