Dalpat Rajpurohit was announced as the winner of the Devishankar Awasthi Samman 2025 for his book Sundar ke Svapn on5 April at Delhi’s Sahitya Akademi. Constituted in 1995, the Devishankar Awasthi Samman is awarded every year to an outstanding book on Hindi literary criticism.

The winner was selected by a jury of Hindi critics, historians and literary scholars consisting of poet Ashok Vajpeyi, Sudhir Chandra, Mridula Garg, Purushottam Agrawal, and Rekha Awasthi. The award was presented to him in absentia and was received on his behalf by his colleagues and critic Vishwanath Tripathi.
