Recognizing the importance of innovation, productivity, and staying ahead of others, Varanasi-based Kamala Press seeks ways to enhance its print offering. The commercial printer has bought a brand new Ricoh Pro C9500, its second digital color production press from Monotech Systems.

Anjani Kumar Singh, founder & managing director of Kamala Press, says, “We decided to buy the Ricoh Pro C9500 for high-volume jobs and larger poster-size graphics,” adding, “Being the latest and upgraded model, this new Ricoh press is comparatively compact and robust with many added features and capacities.”

“Among the added advancements, the media handling capacity of the Ricoh Pro C9500 is substantial. It can print on thicker and larger size media which we never produced earlier,” he said. Capable of printing on media of thicknesses up to 470 gsm, the Ricoh Pro C9500 handles sheets up to 49.9inch and banner sheets up to 38 inch, delivering oversized graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400×4800 dpi at faster speed of 115 ppm, that is upgradable up to 135 ppm.

Currently running alongside the new Ricoh Pro C9500 is a Ricoh Pro C7200X with 5th Color Station, which was also bought from Monotech Systems last year. “Now, the combined outputs of these machines deliver integrated print solutions for our customers, which include a host of print buyers and corporate biggies,” says Singh, adding, “The Ricoh Pro C7200X has its own prowess to make breathtaking prints in 11 colors — CMYK + 5th Color Station’s Gold, Silver, White, Clear, Neon Pink, Neon Yellow, and Invisible Red.”

The Ricoh Pro C9500 features EFI Fiery Digital Print Servers, which are crucial for optimizing efficiency & quality in today’s print operations. Its intuitive Fiery Command WorkStation facilitates precise job management and color control, enabling quick production of personalized products with the variable data printing (VDP) capabilities of the Ricoh Pro C9500 in exceptional RIP speeds and smooth PDF workflows.

According to Singh, they are now capable of elevating prints using the new Ricoh Pro C9500. “In addition, we have streamlined our production process too using this new digital production press with fast turnaround time, which in turn enables us to cater exceptional outputs in record time,” he mentions, adding that they are also proud of being the first owner of Ricoh Pro C9500 in Varanasi.

Established in the year 1990 as a print solution provider with complete pre-press, press, and post-press setups, Kamala Press offers a range of products such as brochures, catalogs, leaflets, folders, wobblers, menu cards, newsletters, corporate stationery, envelopes, utility boxes, posters, etc.

“In addition to traditional offset printing, we are moving ahead on the digital front using the rightly chosen Ricoh digital presses for which we are so thankful to Monotech Systems for the machines, their support, and everything they provide us,” says Singh.
