Mimaki demonstrated three products at the Sign India 2016 show that was held from 13 to 15 May at Bombay Exhibition Centre. The Japanese firm showcased the JV150 series wide format printer, CJV 300 series inkjet printer and cutter and UJF 3042HG UV LED curing flatbed tabletop inkjet printer.

JV150 series has printing speeds of up to 56.2 square metres an hour and has print resolution of up to 1,440 dpi. It comes in two different printing widths – 1,361mm and 1,610 mm.

The JV150 series can be configured for either eco solvent printing for sign and graphics applications or for dye-sublimation printing for textile and apparel transfer sublimation applications. Using eco solvent inks the JV150 series can print signage, vehicle graphics, point-of-purchase displays, banners, posters, exhibition graphics, to name a few. And using dye sublimation inks it can print flags, apparel, promotional items as well as other products.

The CJV 300 series integrated printer and cutter can also be configured for either eco solvent printing for sign and graphics applications or for dye-sublimation printing for textile and apparel transfer sublimation applications. The ability to pre-cut before printing prevents common problems such as film separation and other issues related to post-cutting on thin materials. It has printing speeds up to 105.9 square metres an hour and comes in two width options – 1,361mm and 1,610 mm.

The UJF 3042HG flatbed printers can print on a variety of substrates including plastics, metal, wood, leather and glass onto materials up to 12 inch by 16 inch. It can accommodate objects up to 6 inches thick. Mimaki’s UV-LED system uses less energy than other UV types, has a longer life and can print onto media that could be damaged by higher-heat systems, allowing the machine to print directly on virtually almost anything, including heat-sensitive materials. The Kebab option for UJF-3042HG model enables printing on cylindrical objects ranging from about one to 13 inches in length, with a diameter from 0.4 to 4.33 inches. It can produce custom products such as personalized beverage bottles, candles, vases, cans as well as other items.
