Fujifilm India displayed a variety of products at the Consumer Electronic Imaging Fair (CEIF) 2023 held from 5-7 January in Mumbai, including the 6-color print engine Revoria Press PC 1120 from its graphics arts division.

“The Revoria Press PC 1120 is Fujifilm’s flagship product. This press prints photo images of great quality. In India, photos are largely wedding album-centric. So, this is the right solution for wedding album and amateur album printing. The press was launched a year ago. We managed to install 20 units across India. We are getting traction for the product in both the photo printing market and the general commercial printing segment. It is a very versatile press,” said Priyatosh Kumar, head of division, graphics arts division, Fujifilm India.

Fujifilm also displayed the ApeosPro for Photo C810 / C750 / C650 printer, which is built on a next-generation hybrid platform, along with the Frontier DE100-XD. The ASK-400 dye-sublimation printer was also on display. In addition to the hardware, the company displayed a variety of samples printed by Fujifilm customers.

“We believe that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. And that is why our customers showcased samples printed on our machines. Six customers displayed their samples of which five are purely into photo albums. One is a web to print photo company. If you had a look at the samples they displayed, you would have realized the power of our technology,” Kumar said.

Graphic arts industry bounces back

The year 2022 was largely a good year for the graphics arts in India as well as for Fujifilm India’s graphics arts division.

“We are new in the digital production printing market. We are just scratching the surface when it comes to the photo printing business. As for our traditional plates business, we have done extremely well. We are very optimistic about our growth in the graphics arts business,” Kumar said.
