Milan-based Pubblialba has completed the first Italian installation of the VR6D – HS industrial UV flatbed printer from Vanguard Europe. The system, already in operation at Pubblialba’s production facilities, is part of a development project of the company that aims at digitizing production to respond to a dynamic industrial market that requires more and more flexibility, quality and speed.Â
“Demands that have led us to invest in the latest generation of digital technologies and complementary machinery for processing plastics that allow increasingly efficient management of production processes in order to respond promptly to market demands,” said Francesco Pileci, director of Pubblialba, commenting on the investment in the Vanguard system.
A few weeks after signing the agreement with Vanguard Europe at Viscom Italia, Pubblialba has already started digital production with the Vanguard VR6D – HS flatbed system, which combines the latest Ricoh Gen 6 printhead technology with high-speed magnetic drive. Key features of the flatbed include eco-friendly LED curing technology, Industry 4.0 compliance, Durst Workflow and Analytics software, ionization bars for eliminating electrostatic charges, 4 suction zones, 5-10-15 picoliter drop size and a print area of up to 1.27m x 2.54m.
