The Reading Passport will help children track the books they read, mark milestones and celebrate their progress along the way. The Reading Journal will encourage them to pause, reflect and record what each book leaves behind — new words, favorite characters, memorable moments, key learnings and thoughts inspired by the story.

To celebrate National Book Lovers Day on August 9, The Coforge Public Library launched a Reading Passport and a Reading Journal for children to encourage them to build stronger reading habits. The passport and journal will be available free of cost at all Coforge Public Libraries in Noida, Gurugram, Delhi and Hyderabad.

The initiative is designed to make reading more engaging, reflective and rewarding. The Reading Passport will help children track the books they read, mark milestones and celebrate their progress along the way. The Reading Journal will encourage them to pause, reflect and record what each book leaves behind — new words, favorite characters, memorable moments, key learnings and thoughts inspired by the story.

By encouraging both consistency and reflection, these tools are designed to help children read more regularly while building language skills, critical thinking, creativity and self-expression. The launch is part of the Coforge Public Library’s wider effort to make reading a joyful, meaningful and rewarding habit for children.

Anuradha Sehgal, chief brand and sustainability officer, Coforge, said, “Reading is one of the most powerful ways for a child to develop curiosity, imagination and confidence. The Reading Passport and Reading Journal are simple tools, but we hope they will encourage children to read regularly, celebrate their progress and capture what each book teaches them. We are excited to introduce them to our young readers.”

With thoughtfully curated collections and inspiring, well-designed spaces, The Coforge Public Library is reimagining libraries as welcoming public spaces where children can build aspiration, confidence and a lifelong relationship with reading.

The Coforge Public Library is a heartfelt initiative born from Coforge’s commitment towards social responsibility. Its vision is to support India’s journey towards comprehensive development by providing individuals from all walks of life the opportunity to access knowledge, learn, and grow. Its mission is to build a lasting and impactful network of free public libraries across India that serve as beacons of hope, inclusivity, and community empowerment and sanctuaries of knowledge and lifelong learning.
