Monotech Systems, a digital print solutions manufacturer and an authorized distributor of Ricoh digital production presses in India, is expanding Ricoh’s footprint across regions. It has installed India’s first Ricoh Pro C9500 with the Fiery N70 Controller at Hyderabad-based Sridevi Graphics, a Ricoh Pro C9500 at Tamil Nadu-based Thirupaty Designerrz, and a Ricoh Pro C7500 at Kolkata-based Shakti Printers.

The Indian commercial print industry continues to witness a shift towards shorter print runs, faster turnaround and value-added applications. With faster processing, registration, and automatic duplex printing up to 470 gsm, the Ricoh Pro C9500 with Fiery N70 is built to deliver the productivity and premium quality that today’s demanding print environment requires. This is also Sridevi Graphics’ third Ricoh press from Monotech Systems.

“As our business expanded, we needed a press that could deliver higher productivity and premium print quality. The Ricoh Pro C9500 with the Fiery N70 offers faster processing, excellent registration and automatic duplex printing up to 470 gsm. With Monotech’s dependable support, choosing our third Ricoh press was an easy decision,” a company representative said.

Based in Erode, Thirupaty Designerrz serves a diverse customer base across commercial printing, marketing collateral, educational material and customized print applications. According to the company, the new production press will enable higher productivity, improved color consistency and greater media flexibility, allowing it to handle a wider mix of print jobs.

Speaking about the investment, GT Raam Thanasegar, managing partner, and J Senthilkumar, managing partner, Thirupaty Designerrz, said the decision was driven by changing customer requirements and the need to improve production efficiency.

The market is moving towards shorter runs, quicker delivery and consistent print quality. We wanted a production press that could help us meet these expectations while giving us the flexibility to take on a broader range of work,” Thanasegar said.

Senthilkumar added, “After evaluating different technologies, we selected the Ricoh Pro C9500 as it offered the combination of productivity, color consistency and substrate versatility that suited our production requirements. Equally important was the support provided by Monotech Systems. Their understanding of our business, application expertise and after-sales service gave us the confidence to make this investment.”

Ajeet Pareekh, vice president, digital printing solutions, Monotech Systems, said investments in digital presses continue to grow as businesses aim to improve efficiency and diversify their offerings. Commercial printers today are investing in technologies that enable them to respond quickly to changing customer demands while maintaining consistent quality. We thank Dhanasekhar and the team at Thirupaty Designerrz for placing their trust in Monotech Systems and Ricoh.”

Shakti Printers

The installation is particularly significant as it marks Shakti Printers’ third Ricoh production press from Monotech Systems, following the successful installation of a Ricoh Pro C7200 color production press and a Ricoh Pro 8300 monochrome production press. The continued investment reflects the company’s confidence in both Ricoh technology and Monotech’s strong technical and service support.

One of the key highlights of the press is its fifth-color station, supporting specialty toners such as white, clear, neon pink, neon yellow and invisible red. These capabilities enable printers to produce premium marketing collateral, print on transparent and colored media, create security applications and deliver high-impact personalized communication — opening new revenue opportunities beyond conventional CMYK printing.

Speaking about the investment, Anirban Das, owner, Shakti Printers, said the decision was driven by changing market demands and the company’s long-term vision for business growth. “Today’s print buyers expect much more than quality output. They are looking for shorter turnaround, customization and applications that help their brands stand out. We wanted a production platform that would allow us to meet these expectations while creating new business opportunities through value-added print.”

This is our third Ricoh production press from Monotech Systems. We have been successfully operating a Ricoh Pro C7200 and a Ricoh Pro 8300, and our experience with both the technology and Monotech’s after-sales support has been excellent. Their team understands our business, provides valuable application guidance and has consistently delivered prompt technical support. That confidence made our decision to invest in the Ricoh Pro C7500 a natural progression.”

TP Jain, managing director, Monotech Systems, said the installation reflects the evolving priorities of India’s commercial print industry.

The future of commercial printing will be driven by application diversity, flexibility and faster response to customer requirements. Technologies such as the Ricoh Pro C7500 enable print businesses to move beyond conventional production and create higher-value applications that improve competitiveness and profitability. We congratulate Shakti Printers on this strategic investment and are proud to be their technology partner in this growth journey,” he said.
