The Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association (IPPTA) will hosted its Zonal Seminar-I at the Jaipur Marriott Hotel, bringing together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the future of the paper industry. The two-day event, to be held on 10 and 11 July, focuses on ‘Future-Ready Paper Industry: Policy, Sustainability and Technology Convergence.’

The seminar will commence with an inaugural session led by chief guest Gulab Kothari, chief editor of Rajasthan Patrika, alongside key industry figures such as Dilip Chandarana, secretary, IPPTA, Tanweer Alam, director in-charge, Indian Institute of Packaging, Delhi, SVR Krishnan, president, IPPTA, Sanjay Singh, chairman-program committee director, Wires & Fabriks & Haber, and others. 

Discussions include the need for sustainable practices and technological innovation to address evolving environmental and economic challenges.

Technical sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence in manufacturing, digital transformation, and the use of renewable bioresources. Experts will present advancements such as AI-driven process optimization, digital twins for predictive maintenance, and alternative fiber sources to enhance sustainability.

A panel discussion on ‘Tectonic Shifts & Policy Pathways’ will emphasize collaborative strategies for building a resilient and eco-friendly paper industry. The importance of data-driven decision-making and policy support in achieving long-term growth will be discussed.

The event will have with a feedback session, recognition of sponsors, and the announcement of Best Paper Awards.  

The seminar underscores the industry’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, setting a strong direction for the future of India’s pulp and paper sector, IPPTA said.
