Ahmedabad-based Printona Multiprint prints and produces cards for all occasions, and a host of other end-products, serving customers of diverse profiles and backgrounds. To expand capacity and improve print quality, Printona Multiprint recently installed a brand new Canon imagePRESS V800.

Its second digital color production press from Canon India, the iPR V800 was installed at Printona Multiprint in February this year. “Since the arrival of the Canon digital machine, we have improved print quality, textures, vividness of colors, and more, in cards and other items,” Dhruv Patel of Printona Multiprint said.

Before the new iPR V800, a Canon imagePRESS C710 had been handling overall digital printing. “Around three and a half years ago, we purchased the iPR C710, a production digital machine to deliver outstanding prints. However, this new iPR V800 has its own features,” Dhruv said.

Built to handle varieties of lightweight as well as heavyweight substrates ranging from 52 gsm up to 350 gsm to print graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi, the iPR V800 can deliver 80 A4-size pages per minute (ppm). It prints on covers, envelopes, synthetics, coated papers, textured papers, long sheets of 1300 mm, and many unconventional media.

A team of more than 20 staff, consisting of skilled graphic designers, machine operators, and production professionals, produce fancy wedding and invitation cards as well as other products such as business cards, brochures, catalogs, inserts, fliers, etc.

Neel Patel, brother of Dhruv, is closely involved in the business, leading the team from the front. Dhruv said they keep upgrading both their manpower and machines from time to time as per the trends and requirements in the market.

“The iPR V800 ticks every box of our requirements for maintaining quality and innovation in print outputs and finished products,” Dhruv said, adding conclusively, “In addition to the two machines which we have bought from them till date, we are happy and satisfied with the way team Canon India is supporting us anytime, under any circumstance, in the post-installation periods of the machines for giving a boost to print innovation and productivity.”
