Valmet is strengthening its flow control capabilities in Australia with the inauguration of a new service center and a manufacturing unit in Sydney. The new facility enhances the availability of mission-critical flow control solutions and services for customers in process industries across the region, with a particular focus on Australia’s pulp, paper, mining and metals, refining, chemicals, and renewable energy sectors.

The service center will provide the full scope of flow control services, covering replacements and maintenance for valves, pumps, and third-party equipment. It enables faster delivery of critical spare parts, as well as digital tools and expert support throughout the product and plant life cycle. The new facility improves customer support as it brings local engineering capabilities closer to customers and operates as a customer training and testing center, supported by local assembly capabilities and readily available components.

With the new regional hub for flow control capabilities in Australia, Valmet supports more sustainable and resilient industrial operations by bringing services, expertise, and lifecycle support closer to customers. The new service center, equipped with supply and assembly capabilities, further positions Valmet as a leading technology provider supporting Australia and New Zealand in expanding the company’s advanced manufacturing and industrial services base, reinforcing long-term competitiveness and technological leadership in the region.

“The new location in Sydney is a strategic investment that strengthens our local presence and enables us to support customers with faster service, closer collaboration, and local engineering expertise. By bringing our flow control capabilities closer to customers, we help them improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability across their operations,” says Henri Huovinen, vice president, Flow Control Asia Pacific market area, Valmet.
