Ultimate Tech, a specialist in imposition, nesting and finishing automation software, has announced the release of the Ultimate Impostrip 2026.1 – built for next-gen print operations and focuses on fuelling automation.
With this new version, Ultimate Tech says it continues to push boundaries and delivers new functionality such as SmartRoll production-ready optimization, DXF device-ready output control, traceability, and enhancements to the widely used XML for redirection and XML+ automation interfaces with top-of-the-line configuration controls.
Ultimate Impostrip is an imposition and automation solution designed to help print and digital packaging teams prepare production-ready layouts efficiently and consistently.
The new SmartRoll production-ready capability is an imposition batching profile designed to maximize the use of the roll based on the length of the media used. This additional intelligence allows customers to maximize their media and reduce waste, while imposing and placing documents in the smartest method possible.
DXF output is key to industrial printing, such as wide format and digital packaging. Ultimate Impostrip now delivers enhanced functionality such as DXF output for better traceability and separation-level control, DXF file names added to audit data for maintaining an accurate audit trail, DXF output per printed layer for multi-layer PDFs and DXF and output separations controls consolidated to drive cutting devices automatically and easily prepare die-cutting plates.
XML for redirection and XML+ are widely used by our customers to drive imposition seamlessly – nesting and ganging tasks automatically and this version includes some extensions. XML for redirection has been expanded with automation for LaneFlow, saddle stitching, marks, and hot folders and XML+ now includes new controls for bleed, template creation, and indexing, to further enhance the template-less and hot folder-less automated workflow.
Utilizing this interface, the time-to-layout is reduced to seconds, and the time-to-imposition is the fastest available on the market today.
