Print Gallery in Kerala’s Kottayam always opts for the most advanced printing machines packed with modern technologies and features. Of them, a Canon imagePRESS V1350 is the latest one. Installed last November, this high-end digital color production press from Canon India is helping Print Gallery redefine digital printing.

Sijumon Varghese, managing director, Print Gallery, says, “Earlier, we used to run a Canon imagePRESS C7010VP, then, switched to another production engine from a different reputed brand. Still we continued to feel for the need of a more advanced and capable digital color production press, which we finally found in the iPR V1350.” He continues, “My affiliation with the brand Canon dates to our early days in Hyderabad where we started ICards, a one-stop destination for ID card printing and production, which my younger brother Mani Varghese is currently taking care of.”

When it comes to launching Print Gallery, it all started with Sijumon’s love for printing. He narrates, “I did my education in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh where my father P T Varghese, an entrepreneur, managed a tyre retreading business. I’m a portrait artist. A big turning point for me was when I had completed graphic designing courses in Kottayam and Ernakulam, then, decided to build a career in the field of printing, with a special focus on commercial printing segments with innovative production outputs. So, Print Gallery was launched”.

According to Sijumon, his decision of bringing iPR V1350 to Print Gallery’s setup just a few months back was the right move. “In fact, since my experience at ICards, where installed a unit of iPR V1350 alongside other Canon systems like iPR C8000VP, iPR V900, a couple of imageRunner Advance DX 8786 presses for monochrome print production, etc., I have been totally smitten by Canon. So, it was quite obvious for me to go for Canon when decided to invest in a high-end production press for Print Gallery.”

A high-volume digital production engine with features for high levels of built-in automation, iPR V1350 is capable of operating at the speed of producing up to 135 A4 pages per minute in 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution. Another unmatched capability of this Canon digital production powerhouse is its media flexibility. It flexibly prints on a wide range of materials for diverse applications or finished-products, starting from high-end business cards to POS (point of sales) graphics with all new POD-SURF fusing. Print Gallery caters cards of kinds, brochures, stickers, labels, book covers, badges, posters, etc. at competitive prices.

As a concluding note, Sijumon asserts, “In addition to the press, which has totally changed the game of digital printing at Print Gallery, we are thankful to the team Canon India whose support service in the post-installation of iPR V1350 is unmatched, just like the machine.”
