Valmet and Saica Paper UK have signed a service agreement to secure the availability and performance of the paper machine line in Saica’s Partington mill in the United Kingdom. The agreement is for three years, with the option of being extended by a further two years.

The agreement is included in Valmet’s orders received of the first quarter 2025 and effective immediately. The value of the agreement will not be disclosed.

“The service agreement provides a systematic approach to maintenance planning, budgeting, and execution in direct correlation to process audits, including roll and preventive maintenance, thus improving the availability and performance of our machine line. Our cooperation with Valmet has been a success, and we are looking forward to continuing our shared journey,” says Darren Hoyle, maintenance manager at Saica Paper, Partington.

“We are happy for the opportunity to continue our cooperation with Saica’s Partington mill. The service agreement offers the customer long-term visibility to their machine line maintenance and secures the availability of parts and specialist resources. The focus can be kept on safe and efficient execution, generating added value for both parties,” says Pierre de Villiers, product sales manager, EMEA Area, Valmet.
