Monotech Systems, a leading Indian inkjet output device manufacturer and a distributor for Canon wide format inkjet printers, had a strong show at the Media Expo in Mumbai, which the company says underlines its commitment to advancing wide format technology. It asserts that its locally manufactured Pixeljet solutions balance innovation, performance, and ease of use.

Spotlighting UV technology for wide format printing at Media Expo Mumbai, the company displayed  versatile solutions designed to meet the growing demands of the signage and graphics industry. In addition it showed a Ricoh digital production press for which it sells and services across the country.

According to Manoj Kumar Garg, vice president – wide format graphics at Monotech, the company’s primary focus was on UV printing this year, describing it as the most versatile and promising technology in the segment. “UV cured inks allow you to print on virtually any surface—rigid or flexible—making it ideal for a wider range of applications,” Garg said. “We showcased both hybrid and dedicated solutions for roll-to-roll and flatbed printing.”

Among the highlights was a hybrid UV printer that supports both flatbed and roll-to-roll printing, offering flexibility for users who need to work with diverse substrates. The company also displayed the Pixeljet Mini RTR, a compact 6-foot UV LED roll-to-roll machine, and the Pixeljet UV Mini, an entry-level flatbed printer equipped with an AI scanner that eliminates the need for manual positioning—an innovation Monotech claims is a first in the industry.

Visitors to the stand were offered sample prints, with the company promising blockout samples within 30 minutes.

According to Garg, the response at the show was encouraging. “Footfall has been strong and we saw significant interest from visitors, mainly from Maharashtra and Gujarat, as well as a few from southern regions like Bangalore,” he said.
