At Printpack India 2025, Mimaki India, a provider of digital printing of signage and textiles showcased a mid-format range eco-solvent printer, a roll-to-roll flatbed printer, and UV offerings and other solutions. According to Dinesh Narayan, sales head North, the Mimaki UCJV 330, a UV roll-to-roll printing machine, was the highlight of its stand.

In 2024, the company installed several units of its JV330 series and the TxF150-75 direct-to-film printer (DTF) across India. Its products at the show were aimed at signage customers.

Narayan feels the Printpack India show has grown manifold. “It’s exciting to see such a large crowd of Indian exhibitors. The printing landscape is evolving, and we plan to evolve with the changing times,” Narayan said.

Mimaki India expects a heavy flow of orders, based on interactions at the show. “We have had several serious inquiries. It is interesting to note that the printed solution providers are becoming more aware of the technology. India is ready for the next level,” he says.

The company also highlighted its UJV 100 entry-level UV printer with an ink-safe function. Ranging from ratings of one to five, the printer can adjust the settings for a more economical functionality. One being the lowest, offers minimum savings. Five offers the best savings but the quality can be compromised.

On the growth of the Indian landscape, Narayan says an evolution is taking place in India in a hierarchical order. “The southern markets are the first to catch on to the technological advancements and the western markets follow suit. The North and East markets shy away from early integration. The southern markets are more aware of the technology; they have already banned eco-solvent technology and are pushing for UV printing.”
