Raipur-based Digital Technology recently added a Ricoh Pro C9500 digital production printer supplied by Chennai-based Monotech Systems to its operations. With the addition of the new high-speed press, the company has significantly ramped up production. The print service provider, which specializes in products such as tags, catalogs, brochures, leaflets, and letterheads for both retail and government clients, mainly serves Raipur and nearby areas.

Firoz Khan, a partner at Digital Technology, expressed satisfaction with the new printer. “We’ve used Ricoh products for years and are very familiar with their technology. We chose their high-speed top-tier model, the Pro C9500, and are happy with its performance. Alongside the C9500, we are using the Pro C9100, which we bought a few years ago. Both these presses are versatile and the addition of C9500 has enhanced our printing capacity and capability,” Khan said.

Khan said demand for digital print has significantly increased, particularly since the Covid-19 pandemic. “Even in smaller towns around Raipur, there’s been a notable rise in demand for digital printing. We are producing around 200,000 impressions in sizes of 12×18 inches and 13×19 inches.”

Monotech Systems introduced the Ricoh Pro C9500 in Delhi last year, along with the Pro C7500l. These presses were developed to replace the Ricoh Pro C9200 and C7200 models. The Pro C9500 is designed for high-volume jobs, handling up to 1 million sheets per month, with print speeds of up to 135 pages per minute (ppm) for A4-sized paper. The C9500 is also equipped to manage various paper types, from 40 gsm to 470 gsm, and supports media up to 1260 mm in length.

The Ricoh Pro C7500, on the other hand, is for multi-color production, boasting an 11-color gamut and a 5th color station, making it ideal for commercial, photo, and packaging markets. Both models are field-upgradable for speed, and the C7500 can be enhanced from a 4-color to a 5-color system.
