Babloo Offset, an offset printing firm based in Jodhpur, has successfully entered digital printing with the purchase of a brand new Ricoh Pro 8300S monochrome digital production press from Monotech Systems.

Engaging extensively in offset printing since its establishment in the year 2003, Babloo Offset’s proprietor Adbul Hafeez explains why he chose the Ricoh Pro 8300S monochrome digital production press. “As the demands for short-run black & white jobs from our customers keep increasing over the years, we eventually decided to add an advanced digital production press to our machine portfolio of multi-color offset presses,” says Hafeez. He says it took some time for them to find the right digital production press.

“After searching various places, we zeroed in on the Ricoh Pro 8300S, a highly advanced black & white digital production press from Monotech Systems. We were quite excited about this rigorous, rigid, and robust machine that meets all our requirements. Following the installation of this new digital production press, we built our confidence to maintain both the quality and quantity in our black & white print production.”

Hafeez says the Pro 8300S has become an ideal machine for Babloo Offset to make print outputs rather crispier than ever. “We are happy and satisfied with the machine’s unique features and productivity. Now that we relatively rely on this digital production press for monochrome print outputs of all kinds, there is a visible difference between our previous outputs and what we do produce after the installation of the Ricoh Pro 8300S,” he mentions.

The Ricoh Pro 8300S is a compact monochrome digital production press. It can run at the speed of 96 ppm (pages per minute), compatibly on a broad range of lightweight & heavyweight stocks for producing black and white documents such as study materials for students, short-run books and many others in uninterrupted productivity. “The Ricoh Pro 8300S now helps us produce crisp and sharp texts in a resolution of 2400×4800 dpi on media up to 350 gsm,” he says.

Backed by a team of a dozen well-trained printing professionals, Babloo Offset serves clients that predominantly consist of reprographic shops and mid agencies. Hafeez says most of his clients are from Jodhpur and far-flung areas of Rajasthan. “Finally, we are empowered today to produce best-ever quality in black & white prints using the Ricoh Pro 8300S, with round-the-clock after-sales support of Monotech Systems,” he concludes.

In 2024, we are looking at full recovery and growth-led investment in Indian printing

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. It created the category of privately owned B2B print magazines in the country. And by its diversification in packaging, (Packaging South Asia), food processing and packaging (IndiFoodBev) and health and medical supply chain and packaging (HealthTekPak), and its community activities in training, research, and conferences (Ipp Services, Training and Research) the organization continues to create platforms that demonstrate the need for quality information, data, technology insights and events.

India is a large and tough terrain and while its book publishing and commercial printing industry have recovered and are increasingly embracing digital print, the Indian newspaper industry continues to recover its credibility and circulation. The signage industry is also recovering and new technologies and audiences such as digital 3D additive printing, digital textiles, and industrial printing are coming onto our pages. Diversification is a fact of life for our readers and like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in nominal and real terms – in a region poised for the highest change in year to year expenditure in printing equipment and consumables. Our 2024 media kit is ready, and it is the right time to take stock – to emphasize your visibility and relevance to your customers and turn potential markets into conversations.
