Delhi-based Satyam Acrylic Plastics is a 36-year-old trading company and the North Indian distributor for graphic and signage materials from German brand Orafol. The company, which also partners with Jindal, Pioneer, Ultra, TSV, and InFlex for flexible substrates, showcased its associated brands at MediaExpo Delhi in September.

Orafol is an emerging brand with a great market in India, Dixit Kalra, director at Satyam Plastics, said, adding Satyam is working on approvals for the company. “We are taking care of Orafol’s graphic and signage division in North India. Orafol offers great products if you want quality at reasonable prices. The first self-adhesive vinyl Oracle was developed by Orafol, and you can totally depend on them as they have a knack for what they are doing,” he shared.

We have launched our own brand NewX, via which we import many materials such as self-adhesive vinyls, wallpapers, retro vinyls, colored vinyls, and many more items. We have our in-house brand in inks – SP Premium Inks, apart from being associated with the Japanese brand Toyo Inks. We are getting a great response for both these inks in North India,” he added.

The signage industry is booming in India and transitioning from printing on paper to materials such as self-adhesive vinyls, Kalra said. “DWP (digital wall painting) is a product that can be used as a replacement for wall painting. It can give you symmetrical and uniform printing as compared to wall paintings that people do manually. It reduces the work and provides much-needed consistency,” he signed off.
