The 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The Federation of Publishers’ & Booksellers’ Associations in India (FPBAI) was held on Saturday, 23 September, 2023, at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.

SK Ghai of Sterling Publishers Greater Noida was elected unopposed president of FPBAI in the election of office-bearers during the AGM, conducted by election officer Bhupinder Chowdhri, past president of FPBAI and proprietor of The English Book Store, New Delhi.  

“I am grateful to all members for reposing their faith in my person as president, FPBAI. I assured the members that I shall leave no stone unturned for working with dedication along with my team of office bearers for the betterment of the book trade,” Ghai said.

Vice-presidents – North: Vikas Chowdhary of New Light Publishers, New Delhi;  South, M.S. Venkatesh of Educational Supplies, Bangalore; West: Arjun Sachdev of Radiant E Quest Limited, Mumbai; and East: Pankaj Bhagawati of Unique Books, Guwahati.

The honorary secretary is Arunjit Singh Gujral of  Panima Educational Book Agency, New Delhi. Kalpana Shukla of KW Publishers New Delhi is the honorary joint secretary. Treasurer is Ravi Sethi of Empty Canvas Publishers, New Delhi.

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. It created the category of privately owned B2B print magazines in the country. Diversification is a fact of life for our readers and like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.
