Amazing Graphics, a commercial printer based in Delhi’s Shastri Nagar, has installed a new Ricoh Pro C7200X digital color production press that has been supplied by Monotech Systems, a printing solutions provider. The printer is using the new press to produce high-quality POD (print-on-demand) products.

Anup Kumar, the proprietor of Amazing Graphics, said, “The Ricoh digital color production press is a game changer for us. I say ‘game changer’ because, after the installation of the digital production press, we have changed the way we enhance the quality and production volume of POD products.” He says the press is an ideal machine for high-capacity digital color printing for short-run production of crisp images on heavily textured media.

Established in the year 1999, Amazing Graphics is growing over the years. Recalling their early days, Kumar says, “We started as a reprographic center engaging only in photocopy jobs. We were known to our customers as a ‘Xerox center’ or ‘photocopy shop’ because our main activity was predominately photocopying of documents such as study materials for students, office documents for local public and private firms, personal items such as cards, property papers, etc.”

“As time went by, our works and service were gradually recognized and acknowledged by customers who came from all over NCR. We witnessed a tremendous increase in demand for quality POD products from the clients who were quality conscious and expected graphic outputs from us.” He says they managed everything with a few MFPs (multi-function printers) such as Xerox C315 and others.

When demands spiked for higher quality POD products such as labels, stickers, and business cards, Kumar felt the need for an advanced digital production press and zeroed in on the Ricoh Pro C7200—an advanced digital production press ideally engineered for premium quality short-run printing.

“We were certainly in need of this press to deal with our quality-conscious customers.” Amazing Graphics has been working for eminent book publishers such as McGraw Hill and others, for whom it prints on-demand books.  “Book publishers are happy and satisfied with the output of the Ricoh Pro C7200 which flawlessly prints colorful book covers as well as inside pages in CMYK.”

Combining speed and quality, the Ricoh Pro C7200 is ideal for producing high-quality prints in the resolution of 2400 x 4800 dpi. It can take up a wide range of stocks, comprising both light and heavyweight media up to 360 gsm, to produce crisp and colorful prints at a speed of 85 ppm (pages per minute).  Kumar says the Ricoh has been a benchmark for Amazing Graphics to print POD products that stand out amid the crowd.
