The Ricoh digital production presses will be on display.

Monotech Systems, a machine manufacturer and one-stop solution provider for the printing and packaging industries globally, is gearing up to be bullish in digital printing at the Pamex 2023. The company will exhibit a complete digital ecosystem encompassing the whole gamut of the latest advancements in printing, packaging, and enhancement solutions to help trade visitors discover new technologies and verticals to elevate their businesses to new heights and stay ahead of their competitors.

The company’s key exhibits under the digital printing category will include a line of highly advanced Ricoh digital production presses Pro C9200, Pro 8300S, Pro C7200X, and Pro 5310S. These energy-efficient Ricoh digital production presses are the perfect solution for high-speed, high-volume, and high-quality commercial print production, photo, labels, packaging, and security printing applications.

In the range of their own-manufactured machines, Monotech Systems will demonstrate the Jetsci, a highly versatile print-on-demand, high-speed monochrome inkjet web press for applications such as books, transactional, direct mail, trans-promotional, security printing, bespoke articles, etc. It is a suitable press for any run length of variable data printing at a speed up to 650 ft/min on stocks ranging from 45 to 130 gsm.

The Jetsci Digital label printing application gallery would attract customers from the label printing fraternity and those who are looking for business diversification in label printing.

Further on the front of digital print enhancement, Monotech Systems will showcase its fully automated PixelGlowTM digital UV & foiling system. Based on drop-on-demand inkjet technology, this spot UV and varnish system helps print houses add special effects to digitally printed outputs, offering customers unique, brilliant, and high-quality graphics with tangible dimensions. It ideally turns prints into spectacular and irresistible graphics. Moreover, a well-laid Scodix print application sample gallery at the company’s booth will unveil many possibilities in digital print enhancement.

The screen printers would find something unique in Monotech Systems’ booth as the company would be launching the digital foiling solution.

Likewise, the company’s indigenously made Pixeljet miniRTR UV printer from the company’s popular brand ‘Pixeljet’ Series is a 6-feet LED roll-to-roll UV printer, which is an affordable, effective, and powerful solution for those looking to migrate from conventional to UV printing would be performing live at the booth.

Another key attraction would be the Traceci – Track & Trace Solution. This is a SaaS platform that provides brand owners deep consumer and supply chain insights regarding their products like real-time GPS location, scanning patterns and suspicious activity alerts. It will help to get actionable product data for strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

For those looking for a multi-function digital large-format printing system for CAD drawing, poster, and such applications at Pamex 2023, Monotech System is presenting the Canon imagePrograf TX-5300, which is designed with advanced technologies for highly accurate CAD & GIS prints. 2023 promises an interesting ride for print in India

Indian Printer and Publisher founded in 1979 is the oldest B2B trade publication in the multi-platform and multi-channel IPPGroup. While the print and packaging industries have been resilient in the past 33 months since the pandemic lockdown of 25 March 2020, the commercial printing and newspaper industries have yet to recover their pre-Covid trajectory.

The fragmented commercial printing industry faces substantial challenges as does the newspaper industry. While digital short-run printing and the signage industry seem to be recovering a bit faster, ultimately their growth will also be moderated by the progress of the overall economy. On the other hand book printing exports are doing well but they too face several supply-chain and logistics challenges.

The price of publication papers including newsprint has been high in the past year while availability is diminished by several mills shutting down their publication paper and newsprint machines in the past four years. Indian paper mills are also exporting many types of paper and have raised prices for Indian printers. To some extent, this has helped in the recovery of the digital printing industry with its on-demand short-run and low-wastage paradigm.

Ultimately digital print and other digital channels will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future. For instance, there is no alternative to a rise in textbook consumption but this segment will only reach normality in the next financial year beginning on 1 April 2023.

Thus while the new normal is a moving target and many commercial printers look to diversification, we believe that our target audiences may shift and change. Like them, we will also have to adapt with agility to keep up with their business and technical information needs.

Our 2023 media kit is ready, and it is the right time to take stock and reconnect with your potential markets and customers. Print is the glue for the growth of liberal education, new industry, and an emerging economy. We seek your participation in what promises to be an interesting ride.
