Mumbai-based Hitech Systems, which deals in a wide variety of print finishing solutions from leading global brands, will showcase a huge range of products at the Pamex 2020 that will be held in Mumbai from 6 to 9 January 2020. This time the company has taken a bigger stand than the previous edition of Pamex.

For the first time the company will offer 18 months’ warranty on the machines, which are in the price range of Rs 10 lakhs plus. Hitech generally offers 12 months’ warranty on these products.

With this scheme we want to send a message to the current as well potential customers that our products are of top quality and we are sure about their performance,” says Parag Shah, chief executive officer of Hitech Systems.

The products on which Hitech will be offering 18 months’ warranty are Bacciottini (Italy) automatic creasing and perforation machines; Foliant (Czech Republic) – automatic thermal lamination machine; Lecho (China) – automatic digital die-cutter with auto feeding; Verve mini – UV LED 3 x 5’; 450 SA (Czech) – desk top semi-automatic creasing /perforation machine; and Gemini die-cutter (Italy) – desktop digital die-cutter with auto feeder.

Besides the above-mentioned products, Hitech would offer a special Pamex scheme for the entire foil printing, paper cutter and binding machine range.

Hitech will also show samples of cartons digitally printed on MTEX printers, which is a Portugal-based company. According to Shah, customers who want to see the actual demo of the printer can meet at drupa 2020, where the company will be showing the machine or they can directly visit the factory in Portugal.

Talking about the experience at Pamex so far, Shah says that Hitech has been exhibiting at the expo since more than a decade and has had a good experience. “We have been exhibiting at Pamex for a long time. The last edition was very well attended and we hope to have the same experience this time as well,” he concludes.

Indian Printer and Publishers’ editorial team will be available around the show. You can go and meet them at the Indian Printer and Publishers stand in Hall 1 Stand E69.

The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.

The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.

Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.

As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.

It is the right time to support our high-impact reporting and authoritative and technical information with some of the best correspondents in the industry. Readers can power Indian Printer and Publisher’s balanced industry journalism and help sustain us by subscribing.
