Esko participated at the recently concluded Media Expo 2018 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, where it displayed automation solutions for its customers in the printing industry. In printing, the company provides solutions in the sign and display segments. “Sign and display is witnessing a changeover with UV printing gaining prominence. We have this product line named Kongsberg tables which can be used in packaging as well as sign and
display segment. Media Expo is one of the shows where numerous players from the display and signage industy come together for exploring available solutions. So, there couldn’t be a
better place for us to interact with prospective customers and exhibit our offerings,” says Arnab Maiti, sales director – South Asia, Esko.
“At Media Expo, we not only talked about the Kongsberg table but also showcased how to make it a finished product. A signage holds no value unless you convert it into a final product. So, it is not about the designing alone or the painting alone; it is about an entire
process from design to finish. It’s like connecting all the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle together. Among all the printers in the hall, we tried to educate our customers on how to make a finished product. We actually did a lot of live printing as well in association with Fujifilm. The printing was done at the Fujifilm stand and the entire finishing work was done at our stand. Visitors to our stand curiously witnessed the entire procedure,” Maiti adds.
The Esko stand also had a number of samples on display made from different print materials which were carved into various intricate designs. All the samples were made on the Kongsberg table.
At FESPA, Esko had launched the Quickstart Automation Engine, which was also on display at Media Expo. “When we say design to finish, every task in the entire workflow is disconnected to one another. From designing to printing to finishing, it is a journey from one island to the other where there is a lot of uncertainty. Thus, we at Esko built this platform to provide seamless connectivity. We have been building software over the years and with the expertise and the experience we have, we are certain that every product
we design will be of utmost importance to the printers in every possible manner,” Maiti shares.
Maiti also talked about an overwhelming response at the show. The company’s automation software was shown to its customers in batches. After failing to reach its financial target
last year, Esko is now showing signs of recovery with increasing velocity in the market.
