Sagar Detroja and Sunil Patel started their first company, Shree Balaji Imaging, in June 2016. The same month, they decided to start another firm under the name Shivranjani Imaging. Operating in the textile and printing segments since its inception, Shivranjani Imaging recently forayed into the graphics industry for which it has invested in a Xerox Versant 3100.

Currently, the company caters to the textile, modelling agencies and graphics industries. The Xerox Versant 3100 machine was installed at their facility on 29 June 2017. High print quality, media gamut and ease of operation of the Xerox Versant 3100 digital press are some of the features that led Detroja and Patel to invest in the machine. The operators were given training on fiery server, stock library manager (SLM) along with other hardware and software functioning.

The company initially considered going for another brand but was quick to figure out that no one could match the print quality, media gamut, automation and operations of the Xerox Versant 3100 press. “The Xerox Versant 3100 has been extremely impressive. We are quite pleased with the color accuracy of the machine. We have been receiving desired outputs from the machine,” said Detroja. The company looks forward to cater to the entire country and expect a 25-30% growth. The current turnover of the company is Rs. 2.5 crore, which they aim to scale up to Rs. 3.3 crore annually.

At present, Shivranjani Imaging has two printing facilities spread across 1400 sq. ft. with a staff strength of 8-10 people. The Xerox Versant 3100 digital press comes with dynamic features. The machine runs at 100 ppm and is enabled with high capacity feeding, stacking and finishing.

“Currently, we are looking to cater to customers throughout India. We are also building a web-to-print website for catering to clients who want to order any kind of printed products online,” Detroja added.

According to him, the industry is price driven. In such a case, it is very important to reach out to direct customers. Patel feels that if direct customers are not targeted, it will be nearly impossible to achieve the desired profits.
