Focusight quality inspection system that will be displayed at Suba Solutions’ PrintPack stand

Chennai-based Suba Solutions provides variety of postpress solutions for both the printing and packing industry. The company is an authorized representative for many overseas companies as well. At the upcoming PrintPack 2017, Suba Solutions plans to show quality inspection and sorting system from China’s Focusight. From its own stable, Suba will display UV systems for offset machines and a plasma treater.

“Customers visit exhibitions to find solutions to various production and quality issues and project plans. While they do so, we suggest they carry samples or examples or the necessary documents of what they intend to communicate so that they would have easier success in their efforts. Suba stands for commitment. We promise only what we can keep up and deliver on what we promise. Our solutions are value for money,” says V Vaidyalingam, director at Suba Solutions.

On the question of Suba’s approach towards service upgradation, Vaidyalingam says, “Most of our products except for the quality inspection system from Focusight do not suffer obsolescence. They are largely mechanical with some electronics. Focusight’s quality inspection systems are, however, based on advanced electronics hardware and software. They change fast and there are constant upgrades that are offered by the company.”

The recent demonetization drive taken by the government has been a major policy step, which has left no sector unaffected. Speaking on the impact demonetization has had on the company’s operations, Vaidyalingam says that the move is a positive development which will have some short-term impact but will bring in interesting results in the long run.

“It might affect businesses and individuals in the short run. But positives outweight the negatives quite comfortably. Our businesses have taken a hit with a few existing customers cancelling their orders or postponing them. Nevertheless, new businesses are coming in too. In fact, the best month we had was November 2016! Of course, it was a coincidence,” says Vaidyalingam.
