Naph Graphics demonstrated three products at PrintPack India 2017—the Koncept web offset tower, which was launched eight years ago; the Slitline slitter rewinder with speeds up to 350 m/ min with web width up to 1300 mm; and an online stacker.

“The web offset is specially designed for newspaper and book printing. The space-saving machine has an integrated reel stand underneath. It has the same height as the conventional 4-Hi tower but we have incorporated some highly innovative features in the press,” said Praveen Burman, director – marketing at Naph Graphics.

The newspaper industry is undergoing a downfall. Today the installation of new machines has gone down drastically. Newspaper companies now prefer to opt for a single press instead of having two or more presses within a 300 km area. So, almost everyone today is looking at cost cutting in the industry

“The main strength of Naph is its flexibility in designing and integrating the web offset press. We are not limited to a fixed design but rather provide customized products to our customers,” says Burman about Naph’s web offset presses. “We are also the pioneer in integrated reel stand.”

Speaking about the newspaper industry, Burman said, “The newspaper industry is undergoing a downfall. So if we talk about the current scenario, the installation of new machines has gone down drastically. Newspaper companies now prefer to opt for a single press instead of having two or more presses within a 300 km area. So, almost everyone today is looking at cost cutting in the industry.”

The slitter rewinder at Naph’s stand also garnered a very good response. Mohit Bansal, assistant director – marketing at Naph Graphics said, “We have tried to keep the quality of our slitter very high. It has pneumatic shafts from Resources, all automation systems are from E + L while the drive is from Siemens and powered by E + L. In addition to these, we are using advanced cutting systems including rotary cutters and razor blades. The slitter is ideal for plastic films, flexible packaging laminates, paper and aluminum foil based laminates.”
