With multiple postpress installations including Morgana’s PUR 200, BM 350 – Bookletmaker and Guowei – paper cutter, Malhotra Graphics now plans to showcase its offerings to a wider audience through PrintPack India 2017. “The way to do business in the print industry has evolved over the years. Today, print service providers (PSPs) don’t just sell print but the product concept too,” says Sanjay Malhotra, chief executive officer, Malhotra Graphics.

Being in print for many years, Malhotra believes that “Ever since the Internet became an everyday aspect of life, there has been a belief that the printing industry is dead. With high accessibility to a variety of digital screens and consumers favoring digital sources of entertainment over physical ones, it makes sense that paper is not used as regularly. Moreover, some organizations are having trouble keeping pace with customers’ demands and needs, leading to the perception that printing firms are not doing well. In reality, a few printers hesitated to evolve with the times, and this caused the larger, more professional organizations to become more popular among businesses of all sizes with a variety of print requirements.

“Every other PSP who is ready to evolve requires a set of tools to meet those demands and needs. Hence, leading brands like Guowei – paper cutting machine for heavy duty jobs, prepress and workflow solutions from Esko, Morgana’s booklet maker – BM350 and Renz’s spiral binding solution – ECL 500 are the new additions to our product portfolio. The new product lines are cost effective and efficient solutions for our print partners,” Malhotra shares.

Speaking about the recent demonetization crisis, he says, “We experienced a drop of around 30% in sales. The investment cycle can take a temporary hit. However, eventually it will come back to its regular flow.” With the company stand spread around 160 square meters, Malhotra Graphics will also showcase a range of densitometers by Techkon, the Amsky Aurora – UV CTCP as well the German-made Ideal, a paper-cutting machine. “Our economically viable solutions can act as a tool to achieve every imaginable process and service to the print industry,” Malhotra concludes.
